Is it Wrong to Do Yoga in a Disabled Toilet Cubicle?
Is it? I want to, but it feels bad. Thing is, there are many many toilets where I am currently working. Generally they are clean, functional and not-bad smelling. But to go to these toilets, first I must pass by the disabled toilet...the door of which is usually wide open so I can see all the space it offers to the users who are intended to use it.
Thing is, I've never yet seen anyone use this toilet, let alone the disabled users. There it stands, day after day, huge, clean and sparkling and empty. And there I go, day after day, to the cramped loos.
Why do I want to do yoga in a toilet? Well, I get a bit cramped by sitting at a desk. Usually in my day job, I can work from home, or wherever. So that can mean in bed, on my rocking chair, on my GIANT beanbag, lotus position on floor, leaning against the wall, standing up or wherever...and when I'm cramped I can stretch out with a few quick yoga movements.
BUT I CAN'T DO THAT IN THIS TRADITIONAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT.
And there's nowhere else to go. I hear there is a gym somewhere on site, but gyms (especially college gyms) are usually sweaty, and dripping with testosterone...all I want is a few gentle stretches somewhere private. And everyday I see the disabled loo. Enough space to stretch. Do my standing/balancing poses. And no, I wouldn't be doing anything that requires me touching the floor with anything except my feet.
So why does it feel so wrong? Is it coz it is wrong? Answers in comment form as and when they formulate...

You should see what goes on in our disabled toilets! There is a bed in there..I occasionally see students emerging looking furtive...
I myself have often fancied going in there for forty winks. But guilt stops me
beds in toilets! Fabulous. Well. Maybe a bit grotty. But when you're a half hour away from your own bed, you r standards change.
And that's another thing about this whole working in an office thing - I'm frequently more than 30 seconds away from my own sweet sweet bed!
i routinely do stretches in the bog. ye have to.
