Der Spring is Sprung

And I know because although it'd still freeze the balls off a brass monkey (incidentally, the brass monkey this saying refers to is not a little golden monkey statue...it's the brass balls that hang from a pawn brokers shop...although the saying wouldn't be half so popular if everyone knew that...) I rose at 7.30am this morning, with a glint in my eye and a urge for DIY.
It is rare I rise with a glint in my eye at 7.30am, let alone an urge for DIY, so I thought I'd paint walls while the glint shone...so I'm now oh-so-proud that I've FINALLY painted 3/4 of the walls in my (tiny) kitchen...the remaining 1/4 need some tlc, so I'll just leave them until the next urge strikes.
In the meantime, I have walls that have the delicate, almost-edible hue of a newly-hatched chick. Hurray! Makes the kitchen look a squillion times better. I mean, I hardly notice the lack of a floor now. Or the pipes that need painting. Or the ceiling. Or...
Oh whatever. I am PLEASED! Happy Easter!
